TZ Navigator & Professional

If you have TZ Navigator V4.2 or TZ Professional V4.2 loaded on a PC, you can setup the software to output navigation data on the network (Position, COG/SOG, Heading, Depth, Speed, Wind, Water Temperature and AIS). This setup can be done from the connection wizard (please refer to TZ Navigator/Professional User Guide). Not only your user objects (marks, routes, boundaries) will synchronize automatically with the PC, but TZ iBoat will be able to receive all navigation data available on the PC. There is nothing to configure in TZ iBoat.

As soon as a PC running TZ Navigator or TZ Professional v4.2 is detected on the Wi-Fi network, TZ iBoat will automatically use it as a data source (position received from the PC will take priority over the position received by your device internal GPS). There are multiple options to connect your PC and mobile device (iPhone/iPad) to the same network:

  • You could connect the PC and your mobile device to the same Wi-Fi NMEA Gateway or Router.
  • You could enable the "Personal Hot-Spot" feature of your mobile device. In this case, your iPhone or iPad would be creating a wireless network that your computer can join.
  • You could enable the "Mobile HotSpot" feature of Windows 10 to create a Wi-Fi network from your PC that your mobile device can join.
