Network Repeater
TimeZero can be configured to broadcast navigation data over the network for use by other TimeZero devices. This includes position, COG/SOG, heading, depth, speed, wind, water temperature, and AIS. This feature is primarily intended for use with TZ iBoat, but it can also be used to repeat navigation data to another computer running TimeZero.
To enable navigation data output on the network, open the Connection Wizard, select Data Source, and click "Setup Navigation Data Output for TZ iBoat" (available on the second page of the wizard):

Next, select the network adapter connected to the wireless network and click OK:

Once enabled, TZ iBoat automatically detects and receives the data transmitted by TimeZero, with no configuration required on the mobile device, as long as both devices are connected to the same network. Note that TimeZero always broadcasts the navigation data currently in use. For example, if multiple GPS sources are configured, only the GPS selected as the Master data source (and currently used by TimeZero) will be transmitted on the network.
Although not recommended for redundancy purposes, it is possible to configure a second (or multiple) computers running TimeZero to receive the navigation data being broadcast on the network. This can be done by opening the Connection Wizard on the receiving computer and either running Automatic Configuration (while the transmitting TimeZero system is running) or by manually configuring a UDP input on port 31000.
Tip: Using the network repeater function to feed navigation data to a second computer is not recommended for critical applications. If the primary computer transmitting the data is powered off or fails, the receiving computer will also lose all navigation data. Best practice is to connect each computer directly to the navigation instruments (via NMEA0183 or NMEA2000) to ensure proper redundancy.
