For video input, TimeZero is compatible with DirectShow device (USB) or H264 feed.

  • Camera Configuration List: This window allows to Add, Edit and Remove camera. The status column indicates if the camera is working properly (green) or not (red). In case of problem (red status), you can rollover the mouse to get more information. In case of IP camera or converter, the IP address will be available under the Address column.

  • Active Camera Cone Color: Selects the color of the Cone that will be representing the Field of View (FOV) of the Active Camera on the chart and radar screen.

  • Inactive Camera Cone Color: Selects the color of the Cone that will be representing the Field of View (FOV) of all the inactive cameras on the chart and radar screen.

  • Camera to Move/Lock: Selects the behavior that will be used when the user right click on the chart to move/lock a camera when multiple PTZ cameras are available:

    • Closest Camera: When customer right click to move/lock a camera, TimeZero looks for the closest camera, activates it, and then sends the move/lock command to that camera.

    • Active Camera: When customer right click to move/lock a camera, TimeZero sends the move/lock command to the active camera.

    • List Closest 2 Cameras: When customer right click to move/lock a camera, TimeZero will list the two closest cameras in a sub-menu. This allows the customer to manually choose the relevant camera to send the command to. This can be useful when the closest camera option is not always selecting the best camera.

    • List All Cameras: When customer right click to move/lock a camera, TimeZero will list all cameras in a sub-menu. This allows the customer to manually choose the relevant camera to send the command to. This can be useful when the closest camera option is not always selecting the best camera.

    • Closest 2 Cameras: When customer right click to move/lock a camera, TimeZero looks for the two closest cameras, and then sends the move/lock command to these two cameras

  • Enable USB joystick control for active camera: Select this option when a USB joystick is connected to the computer

    • Invert Tilt axis: Select this option if the movement of the camera seems inverted when pushing or pulling the Joystick.

    • Minimum Threshold: This slider adjusts the Joystick "dead band". The higher the setting the greater the Joystick has to move (initially) before sending a command to the Active Camera.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to calibrate the USB joystick in Windows. Please refer to the Calibrate Joystick Chapter

  • Video Input Configuration List: This window allows to Add, Edit and Remove Video Input. The status column indicates if the external video encoder is working properly (green) or not (red). In case of problem (red status), you can rollover the mouse to get more information. In case of a network encoder (H264), the IP address will be available under the Address column.
