Record & Replay
The "Record & Replay" Module needs to be configured to access this feature.
The Record and Replay Options allows you to enable or disable the data that is recorded and adjust compression options (note that Targets and Events are always recorded).
-
Enable Radar Recording: Enable or Disable the Radar recording. User can set the radar recording frequency, Quality and Resolution:
-
-
Radar Recording Frequency: Adjust how often the radar picture gets recorded. You can decrease the recording frequency to save space. The Radar picture gets compressed and takes in average 1MB/minute at maximum recording speed (every antenna turn). Note that this number can increase or decrease according to how much radar echoes are present on the radar screen.
-
Radar Quality: Adjust the number of "level" used to store radar echo information. For example, if you set the quality to 4 bits, the echo level will be converted from 128 possible levels to 16 levels. Since the Radar Recording is only use for visualization (not for target processing), you can safely reduce the quality.
-
Radar Resolution: Adjust the resolution of the radar picture from 1024*1024 down to 256*256. Only reduce the Radar resolution when you need to save lots of space. Decreasing the resolution will noticeably decrease the radar echo "readability".
-
-
Enable Camera Recording: Enable or Disable the Video recording. User can select the camera and recording frequency:
-
-
Camera Recorded: Select which camera gets recorded. You can select a specific camera name from the drop down menu or use the "Active Camera". When set to "Active Camera", the recorded camera will be the one that is set as active at that time. Usually this is the best choice as Rules can be setup to activate specific cameras and thus will always record the camera of interest.
-
Recording Framerate: Adjust how often the camera picture gets recorded. You can decrease the recording frequency to save space. The video gets compressed and takes in average 5MB/minute at 10 frame per second. Note that this number can increase or decrease according to how much "motion" is present in the video (a scene that stays still will take much less space than a scene with lots of movements). If you want to decrease the space taken for video recording, decrease the framerate (1FPS will take 10 time less space than 10FPS!).
The recording resolution is kept the same as the source except if the video horizontal resolution is over 1200 pixels. In that case, the recording resolution is divided by two (ex: a camera with a resolution of 736*576 will get recorded at the same resolution, but a camera with a resolution of 1280*720 will get recorded at 640*360). -
Recording Quality: Adjust the quality of the video compression. TimeZero uses the advanced "WebP" compression format.
-
-
Enable Audio Recording: Enable or Disable the Audio recording. Any microphone or line input recognized by Windows can be used to record one or multiple channels. However, when recording multiple channels, it is highly recommended to use one ASIO compatible multi-track audio interface.
-
-
Audio Channel List: Click on the "Add" button to configure a new Audio Channel. A window allowing you to select an audio channel (recognized by Windows) and give it a name will appear. Once added, it will appear in the list. Its status and real time audio level will appear in the list. You can click on settings to adjust a recording threshold. A slider allows you to not record any audio when the level is below the threshold.
-
The audio recording sample rate is fixed (22,050Hz / 8 Bit / Mono).
-
Display in the Event List, Audio Conversations longer than : None or 5 /10 / 15 / 30 /60 seconds.
-
Archive/Delete Data Older Than: Set the number of day you want TimeZero to keep recorded data on the local hard-drive. This defines how much day you can replay from the recording computer (live). Once this limit is reach you can either select to delete the old data (clean up) or archive to a secondary location (backup). Usually, you don't always select the maximum amount of days (30 days) in order to save space on the local hard drive and free up resources in TimeZero. Just select the number of days you need for instant and immediate data access knowing the fact that you can always setup a backup location for older data.
-
Delete Old Local Data: Select this option if you don't want to keep data older than the limit set above.
-
Archive Old Local Data: Select this option if you want to choose a backup location where old data will be transferred automatically (every day at midnight). This backup data can then be replayed from another computer (see Archiving for more information).
-
Export Recorded Data...: Select this option when you want to export a chunk of data by date and duration. Note that this option only allows you to extract data that has not been yet archived.
